I bought these items at an auction last week, but do not know exactly what they are for. The top one appears to be some sort of slicer, but it has a divider in the middle. They both came in groups of…Continue

Based on what it looks like the the paper you found. I would say it is a specimen cabinet for the university. The drawers are different sizes to hold different types of items.

I guess it might help to have a picture (with previous posting).  Duh.

I bought this really cool "archive storage drawer chest ??" two days markings other than a brass plaque on upper right front "G-47".  Also found a worn out piece of paper in one of the drawers that indicated it was at one time used to store items from the "University of Texas Paleontological Collection" and that whatever item this tag was attached to was found in "Little Stave Creek, AL."  Would anyone like to venture a guess as to what this is very heavy piece of furniture is?

I have 4 items I can't identify.  They measure 8" high, all metal.  I thought they might be clothes hangers but there's no way to attach the base to a wall.  The hook looks like it might be flexible but it isn't.

Craig, I'll be anxious to see what people say about this. I have two similar pictures taken during the mourning period for my Great-Grandfather.

Wood and metal sled made with rivets. Supposedly from central Ohio? Slat size: 21 1/2'' long x 14 1/2 '' high x 8 3/4'' wide. What is it? What is it worth?
