Permalink Reply by kevin christy on February 7, 2013 at 11:28pm i have concluded my research without ever seeing j 15 j peg. my assessment is Bates & Bacon and the 1900 date is very realistic to what they were doing at this time. this is a nice antique item and i hope U r pleased with it because that is what really matters. monetary value is an algorithm that is constantly changing, and i would prefer not to get into that, but the value at this point would not exceed $300.00. i'm going to indulge myself right now and have a look at j15.

Permalink Reply by kevin christy on February 7, 2013 at 11:58pm obviously i out spoke myself this item is beautiful. what we R seeing, high quality amethyst here (plz forgive me) what appears to be diamond is maybe but not necessarily, very likely clear amethyst or sapphire only gemological is accurate.this is very nice, whoever or is that whomever U r.
