I have had this lever mechinism for a long time and have no idea what it is from and what value it might be. The handle appears to be porcelin and the rest is brass. It is heavy.

I have guessed at being part of a barber chair, something to do with a locomotive or maybe a part of a boiler operation. But I really don't have a clue.

A friend said it was a mother-in-law ejection lever..........   I think not  :)

Kidding aside, any guess to value and use?

Looks to me like a pluming fixture like for a bathtub.

I'm thinking plumbing as well, but maybe a flush valve for an old toilet.
